Leeds United: Fans on Helder Costa impact

After joining the Lilywhites on loan in the summer, it’s been a slow start for Helder Costa in the Championship.
The winger has amassed only three starting places so far, with all of those coming in their most recent encounters in place of the injured Pablo Hernandez.
Indeed, the vast majority of his appearances have come from the bench, with Costa only notching a single assist to show for it.
But as they say, it’s early days, and with Leeds desperate to finally clinch promotion to the top-flight this season, they’re surely going to need every single ounce of quality they can gather to make the dream happen.
Of course, they cannot afford to carry dead weight either, and United fans have been in discussion over whether the 25-year-old, who has produced three assists this season, is worth keeping around after his loan expires.
Here’s what some supporters had to say in regards to the Costa debate:
Byline: “Andrea Radrizzani realises he has to find £16m to pay for Helder Costa this summer.” #lufc

Was always gonna be the case. Imagine giving away a huge chunk of your club for Helder Costa…

If we can’t even afford to pay that in 2020 then we might as well call it a day

The Costa deal will be funded by promotion or the sale of Phillips, hence why we’re paying his fee at the end of this season.
