Ben White’s impact since joining Leeds United on loan from Brighton over the course of the summer has been a crucial one.
Is Ben White good enough for England?
Indeed, the 22-year-old makes the most tackles per game out of any defender (via WhoScored) as well as the most interceptions of anyone in the Whites’ squad and his 3.5 clearances see him lead in that metric too. Clearly making an impact defensively, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United have even been linked with making moves for him.
Described by Leeds Live as ‘unflappable’ during last night’s dramatic late win away at Reading, notable journalist Jacqui Oatley took to Twitter to praise the player for his ability.
So impressed with Leeds centre half Ben White (on loan from #BHAFC). A #LUFC commentator had described him as “John Stones without the errors”. The way he carries the ball out of defence, wow. Leeds staff member: “he’ll start the next World Cup for England 🏴”. #ReadingFC 0-1.

As per Oatley, a Leeds commentator actually compared the player to Manchester City’s big-money star John Stones only without some of the errors to have crept into his game for both club and country of late, with a Whites staff member reportedly boldly claiming White would start for the English national side in the 2022 World Cup.
Well, following such praise, a number of Leeds fans jokingly SLATED the player online in order to do their best to put potential buyers off as they try to keep him at Elland Road for as long as possible. Here’s a closer look.
Please don’t big him up Jacqui- he’s no good to anyone – May as well leave him at Leeds – move along folks … nothing to see here 🤔🤔

Can't imagine he'll make same progress next year again if he's not coached by Bielsa!

he is terrible and Brighton should sell him to us as soon as the window opens.

One of the worst players I've ever seen. If only we could send him back.

Shocking player!! We’ll do Brighton a favour, £5m now before he gets worse 😉
