Leeds United fans on Twitter were happy to see Aapo Halme get an U23 start

While the Leeds United fans are focusing on all things first-team at the moment and daring to dream, it was something from the club’s U23 side that had fans on Twitter talking today.  

Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites have thrilled Championship supporters so far this season and remain unbeaten in the league so these are certainly promising times at Elland Road. However, with the dreaded first international break of the season now upon us, Leeds fans on Twitter had to find something else to react to.

Well, react they did when the club revealed that Aapo Halme was in line to play in the club’s U23 meeting with Cardiff City. The Finnish central defender, who joined Leeds in January, missed most of last season with a serious foot injury has had to bide his time in West Yorkshire, making his appearance all the rarer.
