Leeds United: Fans optimistic about promotion despite side’s 2-1 loss away to Fulham - Leeds United

Leeds United fans were feeling optimistic about promotion after the Whites went down 2-1 to Fulham over the weekend.

The Yorkshire outfit were left chasing the game early on when they conceded a penalty after just seven minutes with Ben White fouling Bobby Reid. Aleksandar Mitrovic made no mistake in dispatching the penalty as to take his tally to 25 goals for club and country this season (via BBC).

Leeds managed to pull themselves level nine minutes after the break when substitute Eddie Nketiah’s shot was slotted in by Patrick Bamford.

However, Scott Parker’s side won the game in the 69th minute when Josh Onomah struck home following a corner.

The loss extends the sides winless run to two games and is the side’s first loss since the start of October.

Despite the loss, fans were optimistic about the side’s chances of promotion as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

Leeds fans, are you still optimistic about automatic promotion? Let us know your thoughts!
