Leeds United fans have been left over the moon after a defensive statistic emerged in the wake of their 4-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Is this finally Leeds' season?
According to LUFC Data, the Whites have conceded just 0.53 goals per game this season, a figure not matched by any club in Europe’s top five league or the top four tiers in English football.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been a tough nut to crack in the Championship this season, conceding just 10 goals in their 19 league games so far.
However, out of the 10 goals the Yorkshire side have conceded, 50% of them have come in the last 20 minutes of matches (via Footy Stats).
Scoring goals has proven a struggle for the side despite the fact they sit top of the second tier of English football with five of the top seven having scored more than them (via BBC).
Fans were left happy by the statistic as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

And that’s without the great Pontus Jansson that everyone feared losing! Welcome Ben White

I expected a lot from Bielsa this season but never once did I think he would turn us into a defensive colossus. I may owe Kiko an apology for my views at the end of last season…
