The former Middlesbrough man has been speaking about the West Yorkshire side’s season so far and is happy with how they are doing.

He also indicated that he believes that they will start scoring more goals soon, alluding to the fact that they are creating plenty of opportunities at the moment but not necessarily taking them.

“We’ve performed well on the whole, we probably didn’t play well against Barnsley but we won the game and we’ve deserved a lot more points than what we’ve got,” said Forshaw.

“We’re still creating just as many chances as last season but conceding less chances. I’m a firm believer that eventually you will get what you deserve, you can’t continue to batter teams and not get what you deserve.”

Leeds are currently the lowest scoring club inside the Championship’s top nine (BBC Sport), but it appears that Forshaw thinks that the goals will start coming on a more regular basis soon.

The midfielder is currently out of action through injury and has missed the Whites’ last five Championship matches (via Transfermarkt).

It seems that plenty of Leeds supporters agree with Forshaw’s comments that they will start getting more goals in the near future. Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
