Leeds United: Fans react to Andrea Radrizzani latest statement

The majority shareholder of Leeds United has referred to the Lilywhites as ‘my club’, with fans responding negatively.Β

Andrea Radrizzani has been in the news recently after insinuating that he could be on the verge of selling a stake after numerous offers.
The Italian businessman recently revealed that he had been approached by more than 20 potential suitors, but he has since denied that he is interested in selling his shares.
In the last two seasons, some good behind the scenes work combined with results on the pitch have steadied the Leeds United ship – so much so that they’re now one of the front runners for promotion to the top flight.
Having just missed out on promotion last season after an aggregate defeat to Derby County in the play-off semi-finals, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have continued to challenge this time around – with the ultimate goal being not to let an automatic promotion place slip through their fingers.
With results improving year on year, Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to voice his content with the situation in a post that simply stated ‘Proud of my club’.
Following the statement, a few United supporters were quick to rush to the comments and correct him:

Nobody owns Leeds United. Leeds United belongs to its supporters.

Highly embarrassing. Whilst it just so happens that you own the club during our centenary year, making it all about you is unsurprising but nothing short of a disgrace!!
