Barry Douglas’ Twitter post had a number of Leeds United fans leaving a number of positive messages after he left his own following their emphatic win on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites managed to navigate what could have been a tricky encounter against Hull City in the weekend’s early Championship fixture, however goals from Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and a brace from Tyler Roberts meant the Yorkshire outfit would go on to maul The Tigers at the KCOM Stadium with relative ease (BBC).
Douglas, who is currently valued at £2.25m by TransferMarkt, had to settle for a place on Marcelo Bielsa’s bench once again and although he did not take to the field, he left a message praising his team-mates for their efforts – something the club’s faithful clearly appeared to be delighted to see.
The Scottish full-back has had a difficult season for Leeds this season so far, having made just 11 appearances in England’s second-tier and has had to be on the bench for the last five games, in which he has not even been able to clock up a single minute (per TransferMarkt).
However, fans stated that they were delighted to see what he had posted as they felt it showed that everyone was in it together and that they were all pulling in the same direction when it came down to the ultimate end goal for the campaign – a place in next year’s Premier League.
Here are just some of the reactions that were left…
Love this. Can’t be easy for Baz sat on the bench every week but it seems like every single one of these lads is in it together
