It has been a frustrating start to life as a Leeds United player for Eddie Nketiah.
Eddie Nketiah or Patrick Bamford?
The 20-year-old moved to Elland Road from Arsenal in the summer, but he has so far failed to make a single start in the Championship with his only opportunities from the beginning coming in the Carabao Cup (via Transfermarkt).
When he has managed to get on the pitch he has impressed. Indeed, he scored in both of his cup starts against Salford City and Stoke City, whilst also netting two goals and providing an assist in his limited action in the league (via Transfermarkt).
However, manager Marcelo Bielsa has instead opted to stick with Patrick Bamford in his starting line-up, despite the former Middlesbrough man not scoring in his last six appearances (via WhoScored).
Naturally Nketiah is a little fed up with the situation at Elland Road. Speaking after his hat-trick for the England under-21s against Austria (per thefa.com) the striker expressed his disappointment at his lack of game time, saying: “It’s been disappointing for me not to start in the league, I went there to play games and get games,” (via Yorkshire Evening Post).
Leeds fans have been responding to the striker’s comments, with many of them understanding his frustration and urging Bielsa to give him a chance…
can understand his frustration, sure he dropped down a league to get a game and improve. Trust the manager, but the lad has to play a bigger part, could be a hero this season given the chance.

Sort of in two minds about this; the first side of me is frustrated because yes he deserves to play more that much is clear….. however; has Bamford done enough to be dropped… no. I feel Bielsa should play them both.

I should hope is he disappointed about not starting, massive shame but I can seeing him going unless Bamford gets injured, I can’t see him playing consecutive league games otherwise. Think we’d also be left with getting a veteran, not saying it’s a bad thing like.

He does need to play more . He got 32 mins against Millwall and did fine and nearly scored

Don’t blame him one bit if he goes
