Leeds United are reportedly keen on making a summer move for Elche defender Juan Cruz, according to Spanish daily AS.
The report coming out of Spain on Cruz claims that the left-back is having the best season of his career and several clubs are now tempted to make a summer move.
Real Mallorca, Osasuna, Real Valladolid, Getafe and Real Betis are all said to be keen, whilst AS claim that a Greek side are also following Leeds with interest.
Regarding reported interest from the Championship club in Cruz, AS claim that director of football Victor Orta has been watching the 27-year-old this season.
Elche are said to be open to selling the defender, but it is also reported that Cruz is available to leave for a release clause of €4m, doubled to €8m if the Segunda side gain promotion.
Leeds themselves are on the verge of promotion, sitting top of the Championship as things stand.
Reacting to the potential interest in Cruz, Leeds fans gave their opinion on social media platform Twitter…

Could be decent back up for Dallas.

Having been to Elche’s home ground, I’d imagine he would love to hear upwards of 35k calling him on.

That club history does not fill me with confidence.

Watched a game of his this morning when the link to him came out. Can’t say he did much. Assists would suggest he’s useful going forward but looks a bit slow.
