Leeds United: Fans react to Marcelo Bielsa confirming an unchanged team for Preston game

Leeds United will name an unchanged line-up for their game against Preston North End on Tuesday (via @PhilHay_).

Manager Marcelo Bielsa confirmed the team news at his pre-match press conference, meaning the 11 which started against Birmingham City at the weekend look set to start again.

That means that there will be no place once again for Pablo Hernandez, with Bielsa confirming that the Spaniard is still unavailable due to injury (@PhilHay_).

The former Swansea City man has missed the Whites’ last four Championship matches (Transfermarkt), although he will actually miss the Preston game with a hamstring injury, and not the calf problem which had previously kept him out.

As well as Hernandez being out, Bielsa’s announcement also means that Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah will once again be forced to make do with a place on the bench.

The 20-year-old is yet to start a Championship game for Leeds this season but did play the full second half of their last match against Birmingham, which was when the team scored their winning goal (Transfermarkt).

But it seems that Bielsa will once again start with Patrick Bamford, despite the former Middlesbrough man failing to score in his last seven appearances (WhoScored).

In response to the team news, several Leeds fans have been left disappointed. Plenty of them are sad to see that Hernandez remains out of contention, whilst there are some who believe that Nketiah should be given a chance…
