Leeds United: Fans react to Phil Hay’s article

Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of The Athletic’s Phil Hay, in an article concerning just how well Marcelo Bielsa’s side were prepared for the widely unexpected break from football.
In the article, Hay writes about his conversation with Rob Price, Leeds United’s head of medicine and performance, regarding the club’s preparation for the widely unexpected break from football. He states:
“Price wanted Leeds to prepare contingencies and be ready for any government guidance which changed or restricted the first team’s schedule. Exercise packs were put together in advance for each player: aerobic bikes, gym balls, mats, harnesses with GPS trackers and a TRX (total resistance exercises) system to maintain upper body strength. When the decision was taken to stop training at Thorp Arch on March 17, Leeds were in a position to deliver those packs to every player’s home the same night.”
As such, thanks to Price’s preparations and knowledge surrounding the situation, Leeds United appeared to be in an extremely favourable position when the lockdown was announced, giving them a substantial head start on their rival clubs in ensuring that their players remained fit and healthy while spending extended periods at home.
In reaction to Hay’s article, some of which was relayed on Twitter here, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many praising Leeds for being so well organised, while others simply stated their love for Marcelo Bielsa and his players.
