Leeds United: Fans remember Champions League night against AC Milan

After footage of Leeds United’s Champions League encounter with AC Milan emerged on Twitter, it had a number of the club’s faithful flocking to it to leave their memories regarding the famous night.
You can’t beat nights like this at Elland Road.
One of the very best

The Whites, who were being led by David O’Leary at the time, managed to pick up all three points in dramatic fashion in front of a packed- out Elland Road when Lee Bowyer’s effort from distance was fumbled by Dida and bounced over the line with just minutes to go (BBC Sport).
Perhaps what made the victory even more special, or even sweeter, was the fact that Leeds had been humiliated by Barcelona in the previous Champions League encounter whilst also having to contend with an injury list that did not appear to want to end (BBC Sport).
Indeed, once Leeds UTD Memories posted the footage of the goal on Twitter, many of the club’s faithful reflected back on the night with some hugely fond memories, with some even going on to claim that it was one of the best nights they could remember.
Here are just some of their reactions to the video…
