Some Leeds fans have taken issue with Marcelo Bielsa’s substitutions in their 3-3 draw with Cardiff City.
The Whites looked sure to be cruising to the top of the Championship around 4 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, as Patrick Bamford put them 3-0 up against Cardiff City from the penalty spot shortly after half-time.
Helder Costa had shot them into an early lead before Bamford’s brace made it three, but Bielsa’s side crumbled in the final 30 minutes.
Lee Tomlin got the Bluebirds’ comeback started before Sean Morrison bagged, and even though Morrison was then sent off Leeds just couldn’t hold on for the three points.
After Robert Glatzel levelled things up in the 88th minute, fans were left to rue the in-game decisions of their Argentine boss.
Bielsa replaced Bamford with Eddie Nketiah in the 77th minute, and that appeared to invite pressure onto his side as the Arsenal loanee could not hold the ball up like Bamford had been able to.

It was his subs though?

Don’t like to point fingers but he made a mistake in keeping Pablo on today, he looks well off the pace at the moment

Well it went wrong when he subbed Bamford! Care to explain why it went wrong if it wasn’t his decision to take him off for Eddie who by the way did nothing to earn his place

No, the subs were the problem. This is a worrying comment.

His subs were exactly the problem and more specifically Bamford, we lost shape and the ability to hold the ball up that then put the midfield under pressure, Hernandez looked tired and we didn’t have subs to replace him.

Agreed, sadly. They were poor choices, particularly this one. Probably put a dent in Strujks confidence as well.

Is this finally Leeds' season?
