Leeds United: Fans state their favourite moment was when the full-time whistle was blown

Many of the Leeds United fans on Twitter all appeared to have the same answer when they were asked to pick out their favourite moment of Tuesday night’s encounter with West Bromwich Albion: the final whistle.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side secured a 1-0 win over the Baggies thanks to Ezgjan Alioski’s goal, leapfrogging their Championship rivals and taking sole control of the division after the first 10 matches of the season.

In what was a very cagey affair, Leeds were reduced to just 47.9% possession of the ball (per Sky Sports), but they managed to do more with it than Slaven Bilic’s side.

Eddie Nketiah or Patrick Bamford?

Reeling off a total of 19 shots (with nine of them on target), the Whites peppered their opponents; goal and could have had more, if Sam Johnstone were not in such fine form.

Whilst it was a great result for Bielsa and his side after a couple of torrid results, many of the fans were just happy to hear the final whistle as they inflicted West Brom’s first defeat of the season.

Here are just some of those reactions…
