Leeds will be taking on Brentford in the Championship and that means the Whites will be facing off against Pontus Jansson for the first time since the Swedish defender made his £5m switch to Griffin Park.
Bielsa on Pontus Jansson's return: "He deserves to be received in the right way. He was the best player of the team last year. He had a high level season and I appreciate what he gave. I think the fans will be fair and recognise what he did."

The game will be at Elland Road too, meaning that Jansson returns to play in front of the fans that once heralded him as one of their best performers. Ahead of the tie, Marcelo Bielsa has been talking about the player, claiming that he deserves to be received in the right way.
It’s hard to argue with Bielsa either. Jansson was a big character at Elland Road, and whilst he wasn’t perfect, he gave his all for the Yorkshire club and deserves to be given some recognition for that, even if he isn’t cheered on during Wednesday’s evening kick-off, he at least deserves not to hear any booing.
You can read the Whites’ thoughts on Bielsa’s comments here:
Not saying he should have his name sung for 90 minutes but anyone that goes out of their way to boo him needs to grow up

He should be given a heroes reception, he was loyal and brilliant at times and gave his all in every game he played, and he never wanted to leave, it was his dream to play in the prem with Leeds and Bielsa took that dream away from him.

Why would we not give PJ a decent welcome back

Hes’ 100% right. I personally hope Pontus gets a warm welcome back. He’s not perfect, but who is?
