Another game where Patrick Bamford failed to find the back of the net has gone by, which has led to a number of the Leeds United faithful on Twitter calling for his name to be dropped from the side as they continue their promotion push.
Although the Whites managed to overcome a challenging affair with Reading at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, it would seem many of the club’s supporters are still far from happy with what they are seeing from Marcelo Bielsa’s perceived favoured attacker.
Bamford, who has started 32 of his 33 Championship matches this season (as per WhoScored) did not have the best of afternoons against the Royals, as he managed just two shots and achieved a rather paltry match rating of just 6.4 despite being on the pitch for the full 90 minutes (WhoScored).
And, it would seem the unrest in his ability to lead the line for Leeds has appeared to go up a notch or two with some of the club’s faithful on social media. Some have called for Bielsa to drop the 26-year-old, whilst one even suggested that the striker had just 12 games to save his Elland Road career should the end-result be that the Whites play their football in the Premier League next season, perhaps with the idea that 12 goals in those 33 league outings not being good enough (WhoScored).
Here are just some of their reactions to his latest performance in the white shirt…

Bamford is letting his team mates down imo. They're doing all the hard work but he just does not have a goalscorers instinct. You either have it or you don't. He doesn't. #lufc

BAMFORD, you know you have 12 games to save your career, because if leeds go up you wont be at the club and probably no one in the championship will take you on, L1 or L2 at best #lufc

Bamford looked shattered today.

I’m all for dropping Bamford have been for a while but makes sense to start v old club Boro but if he puts another performance in like that without scoring and doesn’t play another minute all season he can’t argue at all he’s had so many chances

Grinding em out. Bamford still the most frustrating player on the pitch. Harrison and Costa need a lot more end product. Actually played better after Phillips went off, which is a positive. WE MOVE. #lufc

Bamford's worst performance for a while, yet he survives 90 minutes. Sometimes Bielsa's thoughts puzzle me.#lufc
