Leeds United: Fans react to Nketiah’s international performance

Eddie Nketiah produced a brilliant performance for England’s under-21’s on Tuesday, netting a hat-trick as they beat Austria 5-1 at Stadium MK.
Eddie Nketiah or Patrick Bamford?

Bamford

It was a clinical display by the 20-year-old, whose goals helped the Young Lions continue their excellent start to qualifying for the U21 European Championships.
The striker is currently on loan at Leeds United from Arsenal but has been struggling for game time at Elland Road so far.
Indeed, Nketiah has failed to start a single game in the Championship so far, with Marcelo Bielsa instead opting to play Patrick Bamford.
His only opportunities have been from the bench, and he has actually shown what he can do in his limited game time with two goals and an assist as a substitute (via Transfermarkt).
There have been reports (via the Sun) that should his lack of starts continue, then his parent club could recall him with other Championship clubs thought to be interested in him, including Bristol City.
Supporters do not want that to happen, plenty of them seem to like Nketiah and can’t understand why he hasn’t been given much of a chance so far.
After seeing his performance for the Young Lions, lots of Leeds fans responded with many of them wanting to start and one even calling for him to be signed permanently.
Nketiah bags again. HAS to start next game or we’ll lose him to someone that’ll use him better, and probably go up. #lufc

We need goals in our games. We got a superstar. Goal machine on the bench.

This post isnt a post disrespecting any of the current starting XI, its just stating what is a growing fact.

Bar the lack of goals, Bamford is playing well enough but Nketiah HAS to start #lufc
