Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed to grab a last-gasp 2-1 victory against the Hatters at Kenilworth Road which left them within touching distance of West Bromwich Albion at the top of the Championship table.
Whilst many of the fans were delighted with the overall result, many of them took the chance to share their positive remarks with Cooper after he took to the social network site and share his own happiness.
The Scotland international had started the match on the bench after being struck down with an injury against Blackburn Rovers prior to the international break and subsequently got a run out for the last 30 minutes of the game when he replaced Gaetano Berardi.
Indeed, the skipper has been an important cog in the well-oiled Bielsa machine this season, as data by WhoScored would suggest. Cooper has managed to achieve an average of 1.4 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 2.6 clearances in the 13 Championship matches he has featured in so far.
Fans were delighted to see him come on the pitch, with many believing he had an instant impact on the game, with some stating that he made a difference almost immediately.
Here are just some of their reactions…
