Leeds United: Fans were delighted with Patrick Bamford’s continued form

Leeds United retained their spot at the top of the Championship table as they cruised to a 3-0 away victory over Stoke City as fans continued to be delighted with what they saw from Patrick Bamford on the pitch.

The striker has been in excellent form so far this season, as he scored his fourth goal in five league matches (Transfermarkt) and put the icing on top of the cake for the Whites on Saturday afternoon.

His goal came after Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski both netted either side of the half-time break as the two sides prepare for the return trip at Elland Road on Tuesday evening – albeit in the second round of the League Cup.

Fansite Through It All Together were pleased with what they saw from Bamford on the day as they lauded his work-rate and gave him a solid 8.5 out of ten for his performance, stating: “Very isolated early on. Had his on first opening after 33 minutes when he curled an effort wide of the post from outside the box following good work from Klich. Really good ball across the face of goal with his weaker right foot to set up Alioski for the second goal. Got on the scoresheet with a good finish to make it 3-0, good “striker’s goal” being in the right place to follow up when Alioski’s effort was saved. Aside from his goal and assist he worked really hard. 8.5/10.”
