Leeds United: Fans wouldn’t even sell Kalvin Phillips for £40 million

It would be an earth-shatteringly large bid for a Championship player, but Leeds United supporters insist Kalvin Phillips is far more valuable than £40m.
Is Kalvin Phillips good enough for England?
Yes

No

If a £40m bid came in for Kalvin Phillips in the January transfer window, would you accept it? 🤔#LUFC pic.twitter.com/BgJDwb6B33

The 23-year-old endeared himself to the Leeds faithful even further last weekend, scoring the winning-goal in their centenary match victory over Birmingham City at Elland Road.
Phillips, who has one goal and an assist so far this campaign, is rated highly by supporters.
The Leeds-born midfielder burst onto the scene two seasons ago, proving a key player in United’s narrow promotion push last season with seven goals and three assists in the Championship, as per WhoScored.com
It’s clear Phillips is a player for now and the future – and could be spearheading this side’s journey to success in years to come.
As a result, Leeds fans simply value him far too highly to let go, and when presented with the hypothetical question of ‘would you sell him for £40 million?’, there could only be one response.
What would be the point? We’d probably see £10m re-invested (if we were lucky) and the rest would disappear into thin air.
