Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will already be looking towards the summer transfer window as they look to bring in a number of new recruits, whilst shifting the deadweight, as they look to try and compete for a Premier League spot again.
The Whites started well, however, one defeat sent the team into a downward spiral and the Elland Road outfit have failed to find their form and slid down to a mid-table position. The locals have called for their players to put in better performances, however, one has always remained a favourite with the punters.
Pontus Jansson has been key for Leeds over the last two seasons, although he has been subjected to a number of poor displays himself and has provided the fans with some reassurance about his future with the Yorkshire club.
Phil Hay, who is the Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer, wrote on Twitter that the big Swede expects to remain at Elland Road and dreams of playing Premier League football for Leeds.
Jansson on his future: said he has a five-year contract and expects to be here next season. Said he wants to play in the Premier League but that his dream is to play there with Leeds. #lufc

The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be pleased with the news that Jansson has committed his future with the club despite still having five-years on his deal remaining, and will be hoping he can guide them to the Premier League.
Whether or not keeping him around in the long-term is a realistic notion remains to be seen, though at least these are promising quotes.
