Leeds United should take full advantage of Wolves’ apparent summer clear-out and swoop in for Ivan Cavaleiro who’ll wow Elland Road with his creativity no matter which division they’re in.
The Mirror reported earlier this month that the big wigs at Wolves are aiming for a summer spending spree to break into the top six next season. To that end, they’re targeting Andre Silva and Morgan Sanson according to the report so Cavaleiro might feel surplus to requirements.
Leeds will be looking to improve their forward line in the summer to either earn promotion or stay in the Premier League. After all, the Sun claimed back in January they were targeting the Wolves man to boost their quality in the final third.
Undoubtedly, it’d be a great signing.
Indeed, he’s made 23 appearances in the Premier League this season and has undoubtedly had a major impact on them sitting seventh. It’s been an incredible season, and if anyone knows how to turn a Championship team into a solid Premier League side, it’s him and his Wolves teammates.
Cavaleiro’s scored nine goals and 12 assists in all competitions, and the 25-year-old has been powerful and has caused problems for every team he’s faced. The Portuguese winger would have Elland Road in awe at his direct playing style.
He’s the type of player Leeds need to keep the fans excited if they don’t go up this season, and he’d have the confidence to attack superior teams if they did go up. Convince him to leave Wolves, and they’ve got one impressive player on their hands.
