Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to next season after a disappointing campaign and will be looking at the club to make a number of additions to their side.
According to the Daily Mail, the Whites are interested in Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott, who has impressed for the League One outfit. However, the Elland Road side will need to stump up at least £5million to prise him away.
Leeds will face a number of clubs should they look to sign the 23-year-old as Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are also expected to be interested in the hitman during the summer. Marriott has proven his ability, having scored 32 goals in 53 games this season after joining from Luton the previous transfer window.
The locals have been calling for a man that can find the back of the net on a regular and consistent basis and will be hoping the club can get a deal done for the forward to help them with their promotion aspirations.
The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be looking for the club to make movements in the transfer window and will be excited with the interest their side is showing in Marriott. If a deal can be reached, the punters propping up our bar would be absolutely delighted and might even look ahead to next season, even if the current campaign has been dreadful.
