Leeds United continue to look the part in the Championship, with Marcelo Bielsa leading the Whites into the top two with a series of exciting performances.
The Elland Road crowd have been treated to some fine displays, and it’s clear that the influence of their manager is having a massive impact on the club and squad in general.
The Whites’ squad has plenty of ability in it, and there isn’t much room for massive improvement really, although there are a few players in the Championship who could have done a superb job at Elland Road had the club acted and made their move.
And one man we think is someone who fits this criteria is Sheffield United midfielder Oli Norwood, who moved to the Blades over the summer and has become one of the best central midfield players in the division this term with his displays.
While Kalvin Phillips sits in and plays a key role in front of the back four for Bielsa, he doesn’t quite have the passing capacity of Norwood, who is leading the way for the Blades in the way of forward passes and chances created.
Norwood wasn’t even a big money buy, signing for the Sheffield club for an agreed fee in the region of £2m, and he is a player who a club like Leeds must be looking at and wondering why they didn’t act.
While Leeds continue to do well, so do Sheffield United, and Norwood is a key factor to that success at Bramall Lane.
Leeds fans, what do you think? Would Norwood have been a good fit for you? Let us know your thoughts!
