Leeds United man Patrick Bamford has heaped praise on teammate Eddie Nketiah for his performances this season.
The forward claimed that the Arsenal youngster ‘saved his skin’ when he ‘missed chances’ earlier on this season (via Team Talk)

Bamford is right to be lavishing Nketiah with praise after his disastrous early season form this year. During the run, Nketiah won the club five points with his goals and assists against Brentford, Barnsley and Preston North End, saving the Elland Road outfit from dropping points (via Transfermarkt).
The difference in influence in front of goal between the two players is incredibly stark. While Bamford averages a goal every 221 minutes in the second division, Nketiah is averaging a goal every 96 minutes.
Reports over the 20-year-old’s future at the club are incredibly worrying for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who could well lose Nketiah in January. According to Football Insider, the Whites are expecting the Premier League giants to recall the young forward in the winter window.
Nketiah’s performances, thus far, have shown how crucial he can be for a club, who have often struggled in front of goal. 11 of Leeds’ 20 Championship games this season have seen the Yorkshire side score one goal or less as the attack has struggled to stamp their authority on games (via WhoScored).
Bamford’s praise of Nketiah is 100% warranted as the England under-21 international has saved the club on three occasions this season. Having struggled to score more than one goal in games this year, potentially losing the youngster in January would be a bitter blow for the Yorkshire side.
