Leeds United: Peacocks fans react to footage of fiery clash with Aston Villa

Loads of Leeds United fans reacted to a tweet from Graham Smyth showing footage of the fiery clash against Aston Villa at Elland Road over a year ago.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites welcomed the Villans to Yorkshire in 2019 and the game ended in a controversial 1-1 draw after the Argentine generously allowed Dean Smith’s side to score an uncontested goal to round off some extraordinary scenes (BBC Sport).
The Championship match will always be remembered for Mateusz Klich’s goal in the 72nd minute. Tempers flared when Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia went down following an interaction with Liam Cooper, and Tyler Roberts passed a quick ball to Klich, who took advantage of the helpless Claret and Blue defence to take the lead.
In the dramatic events that followed, Anwar El Ghazi was given a red card, before Bielsa ordered his team to allow the Villans to equalise.
Suffice it to say, it appears many supporters will never forget the “priceless” moment, as one fan admitted the “Bielsa era has been so so good.”

I still maintain – school boy error from Villa … one of the first rules you're taught – is "play to the whistle". No whistle, carry on.

Bielsa played a blinder here. Game didn’t mean much results wise but giving the goal back took the anger out of the Villa players if we met them in the play offs.

Love how Klich doesn’t even celebrate as he knows he’s in for a scrap 😅
