Leeds have to add pace in the final third this summer, so signing Sheraldo Becker would make the Whites a more direct attacking force.
The Mirror (via HITC) claimed Bielsa is looking to bring in the Dutch winger this summer and he’d be available on a free from Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag. He’s certainly off most people’s radar, but he’s exactly what Leeds need next season.
He’s scored seven goals and made 10 assists this season from 33 league appearances, so he’ll definitely provide the excitement in the final third that Elland Road craves for. Their build-up has been too slow at times, but Becker would change that.
He’s rated at just £720,000 on Transfermarkt, but it seems the 24-year-old has potential that he hasn’t had the chance to fulfil yet. His career began at the famous Ajax academy, so they clearly saw something in him back then.
Bielsa can bring the best out of him and, in turn, he can take over from Harrison and Bamford who just haven’t been good enough to make the Whites fans’ dreams come true this season. Next year could be different, but they’ll need some different players too.
If Leeds are to make it to the Premier League, they need to be quicker in the final third. What better way to do that than to bring in an electric winger who’ll add goals and assists to an already promising squad?
