Leeds United should entice 24-year-old Australian to Elland Road this summer

Leeds United have been busy strengthening their squad this summer with no fewer than seven new arrivals since new boss Thomas Christiansen took the helm following Garry Monk’s surprise departure.

The former Hannover manager is something of an unknown quantity in the UK and it will certainly be very interesting to see how he gets on in the Championship next season.

The army of Whites supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are not exactly enthralled with the appointment of a boss with no prior experience in the second tier, although many of them are adamant that he will get a fair crack of the whip when it comes to winning over the fans.

Whilst the club has already been busy adding to the squad which narrowly missed out on the top six last season it seems unlikely that the summer recruitment drive is over with more players set to arrive in the coming weeks.

One man who would be a shrewd addition to the Leeds squad is Burton Albion midfielder Jackson Irvine, who will attract massive interest during the window after impressing last season.

Not too many of the new arrivals at Elland Road boast experience of playing in the Championship and Irvine’s addition would rectify that.

A couple of Leeds supporters are sharing a bottle of wine here in the Tavern and they agree that the Australian’s arrival at the West Yorkshire-based club can only have a positive impact on next season’s proceedings.

Leeds United fans, would you welcome Irvine to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
