Leeds United simply have to hijack any bid for £675k-rated star to guarantee promotion

Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping the club can have a strong summer transfer window and push for promotion next year.

It’s been another season of turmoil at Elland Road. Two managerial changes have left the club without a manager after ending the season in mid-table; a far cry from last season where they narrowly missed out on the playoff places. Former Argentina manager, Marcelo Bielsa, has been heavily linked with the job.

Regardless of who is in charge, reinforcements are needed if Leeds are to challenge for promotion. Adding to their attack will be a priority. An ideal target could be Peterborough winger – Marcus Maddison.

Valued at £675k by Transfermarkt, Maddison enjoyed a stellar season for the Posh, scoring 12 goals and registering 23 assists in all competitions. Now is the right time for the 24-year-old to take the step up to the Championship and help fire the Whites to the Premier League. 41 assists in the last two seasons is a testament to Maddison’s playmaking abilities.

His best years are ahead of him, and Leeds could be the perfect home. If the Whites manage to lure Matej Vydra from Derby County, alongside Maddison, they will have one of the most dangerous attacks in the division.
