Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are in need of a player who can reignite their Premier League dreams in the future. After a rather average campaign in the Championship, that is where they will remain next season so this summer will be an essential time to find new talent for the team flushed of creativity.
One player that is single-handily capable of revitalising the Peacocks’ top flight dreams is highly-rated Manchester City youngster Brahim Diaz. The 18-year-old Spaniard has already managed to play for the first team on a few occasions this season but regular football in a lower league would be the ultimate test for Diaz in order to prove his talent.
Brahim Diaz can be deployed as a left or right winger but mainly prefers his usual position to be down the middle of the pitch, just behind the striker. The Championship is a very physical, challenging league that prove to make or break the City prodigy.
So far this season, the little jewel has managed 5 goals and 2 assists in 22 total appearances, bearing in mind minutes are limited for the first team.
Man City fans are very protective of Diaz seeing as he could be the pioneer of the future for the Citizens. After featuring in the Champions League against Shakhtar, City fans were convinced that they have the next Lionel Messi within their ranks. That comparison wouldn’t seem inaccurate either, his small, nimble play allows his to ease past defenders and create chances for himself and teammates alike.
Leeds simply have to do everything they can to lure him to the Championship on loan to showcase his talent and help propel Leeds further up the league in hope of a Premier League return.
