With 2019 marking 100 years since the formation of Leeds United, the club have unveiled a special centenary home kit to celebrate this anniversary.
Designed by Kappa, the new home shirt stays true to form by sporting a white colour yet it also has a platinum trim to mark this particular milestone with the club’s crest being gold with the dates of 1919 and 2019 being included alongside it.
Accompanying the outfield players’ shirts, the goalkeeper kit was also revealed on Monday with its blue and yellow design resembling some of the club’s previous away outfits (via LeedsLive).
Speaking about the new centenary kit to the club’s official website, Executive director Paul Bell said: “The Leeds United home shirt is something that is steeped in history.
“The club has chosen a classic white design with platinum trim on the kit to represent the centenary milestone, whilst featuring the all new centenary crest on the shirt and shorts.
“Leeds United has an incredible legacy in white and this kit celebrates our proud history, whilst also looking positively to the future.”
Upon seeing the club’s presentation of the new home shirt on Twitter, plenty of Leeds fans reacted positively to the news.
