Leeds United: Whites fans react on Twitter to Sam Dalby’s move to Watford

With Pontus Jansson, Paudie O’Connor, Aapo Halme, Mallik Wilks and Tyler Denton all making permanent exits from the club in recent weeks, Leeds United have now waved goodbye to Sam Dalby who has joined Watford on a two-year deal, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Signed for an undisclosed fee, the 19-year-old is set to join up with the Hornets’ development squad for the upcoming campaign.

Dalby joined Leeds from Leyton Orient in 2018 (via The Non-League Football Paper) yet failed to make a single appearance for the senior side during his time in West Yorkshire as he featured exclusively for Carlos Corberan’s under-23 outfit.

Loaned out to Morecambe in January, the 19-year-old struggled in the fourth tier for Jim Bentley’s side as he only managed to make two substitute appearances during his spell (via Transfermarkt).

Although he was very much on the periphery at Elland Road, Dalby’s departure from Elland Road was nevertheless greeted with shock from plenty of Leeds fans who reacted to the news on Twitter.

The 19-year-old’s move to Watford coincided with the arrivals of Jamal Balogun, Cameron Green, Joseph Hungbo and Henry at Vicarage Road (via the Watford Observer).
