Leeds United have produced their fair share of incredible academy graduates over the years haven’t they?
The likes of Jonathan Woodgate, Lewis Cook, James Milner and Aaron Lennon all nurtured their talents at Thorp Arch before achieving success elsewhere.
Whereas other managers would have focused on spending a considerable amount of money in an attempt to secure automatic promotion, Marcelo Bielsa has put a clear emphasis on bringing through the club’s own talents with Jack Clarke, Jamie Shackleton and Bailey Peacock-Farrell all making a number of appearances for the first team this year.
Looking to follow in the footsteps of this trio in the near future is Kun Temenuzkhkov.
A former La Masia prospect, the Bulgarian forward moved from Barcelona to Elland Road in 2017 and has been extremely impressive for the Whites’ U23 side in recent weeks with his performance in last night’s 3-2 victory over Coventry City catching the attention of the club’s supporters.
With the Premier League Development League clash heading for penalties, Temenuzkhkov dribbled past two Sky Blues players before firing home an unstoppable effort which secured his side’s place in the final of the competition.
Reacting to the Bulgarian’s moment of magic on Twitter, these Leeds fans expressed their delight at his contribution in Monday’s clash.

Although Temenuzkhkov is extremely unlikely to feature for the Whites during their play-off campaign, if he continues to deliver for the U23’s, it surely is only a matter of time before he makes his first-team debut.
