Leeds United: Whites fans take to Twitter to encourage their club to sign Albert Adomah

With Leeds United facing yet another season in the Championship following their play-off heartbreak earlier this month, it is imperative that Marcelo Bielsa gets his recruitment spot on this summer.

Whereas it is fair to say that he has not had the greatest success in the transfer market during his 11 months in charge at Elland Road, the Argentine could right his wrongs by making some quality additions between now and August.

Yet with Andrea Radrizzani surely expected to put financial constraints on Bielsa, he may have to ditch plans to spend big and thus switch his focus on bringing in some cost-efficient free agent signings.

One player who fits this particular bill is Albert Adomah.

Released by Aston Villa earlier this week following the club’s play-off final victory over Derby County (via the Birmingham Mail), the 31-year-old could prove to be the perfect replacement for the departing Jack Harrison.

Virtually unplayable when at his very best, there is no reason why Adomah (who was linked to the Whites by the Guardian via HITC back in 2018) cannot thrive under the guidance of Bielsa as on paper he is the ideal fit for the former Athletic Bilbao manager’s famed 3-3-1-3 formation.

Capable of playing on either side of the pitch, the winger’s experiences of achieving promotion whilst at Villa and Middlesbrough may prove to vital for the Whites if they are to secure a return to the Premier League next year.

Reacting to the news that Adomah will be available on a free this summer, loads of Leeds fans took to Twitter to urge their club to sign him.

Given the winger’s exceptional track-record in the second tier, it will not be at all surprising if he becomes the subject of considerable interest from a number of different clubs.
