Leeds United are one of a number of clubs in the hunt for Hull City’s forward man Jarrod Bowen, according to 90min.
The Whites are fighting alongside a host of Premier League sides and Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion.
Sitting at the top of the Championship table, Leeds look to be on course for promotion as they hold a mammoth 11-point gap over third-placed Fulham.
Recent seasons have shown one thing and that’s Championship forwards can struggle in the Premier League. Dwight Gayle is a man that springs to mind, having failed to consistently deliver at Crystal Palace and Newcastle United during his time in the top flight.
Is Kiko Casilla the best goalkeeper in the Championship?
The 29-year-old has scored just 21 goals in over 100 top-flight appearances; however, he managed to score 59 in exactly 100 Championship appearances (via Transfermarkt).
Aleksandar Mitrovic also made the jump up with Fulham, and while he did score 11 goals, he scored just three goals in 17 appearances after the New Year as the west London side lasted just a season following promotion.
Some stars in the Championship tend to struggle in the English top flight after making that jump. For one reason or another, they simply can’t adapt to Premier League football.
Leeds’ best bet is to sign a forward who has proven to be a hit in any of the top five leagues of Europe, as at least that player would have some top-flight experience to be able to lean on.
