Leeds United are just starting to wobble somewhat in the Championship this season as the Whites have endured some tough defeats in the past six weeks after making such an excellent start to the season.
The latest defeat to Sheffield United will be a tough one to take, and they will be hoping to get back to winning ways this week when they take on Derby County at Elland Road.
Manager Thomas Christiansen brought in a wealth of new players in the summer, and most have settled well, but our landlord here at the Tavern thinks that there is a chance for Leeds to go and add even more quality to their ranks when the January window opens.
One player he would like to see in first team action and who he thinks can settle in with Leeds is current Manchester City and England starlet Phil Foden.
The 17-year-old midfielder has just been instrumental in leading the young lions to World Cup glory, and is highly thought of my Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, with the youngster already included in plenty of squads this year.
Foden looks to be a class act, and a real quality midfield player who can get on the ball and make things happen. A move to Leeds would be a big first step, but everything so far points to Foden being an excellent player who is more than capable in the second tier.
His signing would surely excite Leeds fans, and he could well make a huge difference if given the chance at Elland Road.
