Leeds United’s £15m valuation could keep Premier League dream alive with West Ham going cold

Both the Sunderland and West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern had very contrasting weekends, leading to extremely different conversations flowing around the Transfer Tavern.

Though both teams have had fears over relegation at times this term, it’s the Black Cats who continue in the bottom three as the Hammers try and pull away in light of the ugly Dimitri Payet saga.

Considering the nature of their relatively toothless attacks (aside from Jermain Defoe at the Stadium of Light) then, there’s been little surprise amongst our punters following reports from ESPN

According to them, both sides are targeting a move for Leeds United striker Chris Wood as they look to bolster their respective frontlines. The 24-year-old has bagged 17 goals in all competitions for the Whites as manager Garry Monk continues to impress at Elland Road.

However, the Championship side are believed to have slapped a £15m valuation on the former Leicester City marksman and that is said to have put potentially interested Premier League parties off making a move just yet.

That’s music to the ears of the Leeds-mad punters in the bar, who are dreaming of a return to the English elite.

Should Leeds even consider selling Wood? Even for £15m? Let us know below…
