The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for the season to end as it doesn’t show any signs of getting better. The Lilywhites were well on course for a successful season but after an awful patch of form, Leeds are resigned to another season in the Championship.
It hasn’t been good viewing this year watching Leeds as they’ve really struggled to overcome their barren run of form. There is a lot that needs to happen over the summer if Leeds want to be again regarded as a promotion-pushing side, this mainly includes high-quality signings who will allow this to happen.
Someone our punters would like to see at Elland Road is promising Leicester City forward Fousseni Diabate, who is valued at £1.80 million on Transfermarkt. After arriving at the King Power Stadium in January, fans have seen glimpses of a shining potential in Diabate. Having scored 2 goals in 2 FA cup matches, the left-footed, pacey forward has proven to Leicester fans that certainly in a few years, he would have the makings of a top striker.
Given that the 22-year-old is new to England, it would be a wise move for Leeds to try and acquire him on a loan deal, to test him out in a challenging, physical league like the Championship.
With Leeds struggling in the attacking department themselves, our punters see no reason as to why this move wouldn’t work well for both parties.
Quite frankly right now, Leeds fans will be willing to sign anyone in the hope that they can inspire the team to propel up the Championship table once again. Fousseni Diabate looks a good player and Leeds would be much improved should they pull off an audacious loan move to get the youngster.
