Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are confident that Marcelo Bielsa can take them up to the Premier League in the next campaign. Although, this will all depend on whether they can get the best out of Lewis Baker, who will no doubt play a huge part in their push for promotion.
The Whites will be determined to put things right in the next campaign after putting in a number of disappointing performances under former boss Paul Heckingbottom. Indeed, many of our local residents won’t accept anything less than promotion in the next campaign, so there’s added pressure on Marcelo Bielsa.
Of course, Leeds will need to get the very best out of loan signing Lewis Baker if they are to achieve their objectives in the next campaign, but they may only be able to do so by bringing in players that can support the midfielder.
So, Baker still needs Leeds to land these TWO stars to flourish…
The Ecuadorian enjoyed a spell in England at Manchester City and has since established himself as a useful striker that currently plays for Italian side Lazio.
Leeds United are in desperate need of a striker with plenty of targets being lined up, but not many of them would be on the same level as Felipe Caicedo.
Lewis Baker would relish playing behind the 29-year-old at Elland Road next season as he loves to thread balls through and will feed off any knock downs and scraps while Caicedo is holding up the ball.
Bradley Johnson enjoyed the finest days of his footballing career at Elland Road, so a return to Yorkshire may be on the cards after failing to secure promotion with current club Derby County.
Leeds have just added Baker to their ranks but bringing Johnson to the club would make the young midfielder a more well-rounded player as his experience would help him develop.
