Leeds have got off to a flying start under Marcelo Bielsa and that leads many optimistic fans to believe that this season could be the year where they finally return to the Premier League.
Few would have predicted the instant impact Bielsa has had but then again, that’s why he is dubbed as a top manager.
The Leeds boss has led his team magnificently so far and should that continue, promotion is no longer an unrealistic ambition. The Lilywhites have strengthened over the summer and if they are serious about contending for promotion, they need to keep recruiting until the very last opportunity.
A signing who would be a tremendous coup is Everton’s Ademola Lookman and Leeds have to beat stiff competition to bring him to Elland Road.
Lookman, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, has never really been given a proper chance with Everton as of yet but his best form has certainly been showcased when he was on-loan to RB Leipzig last season. He scored five goals and created four assists in eleven Bundesliga appearances, a brilliant impact for a player who had to get used to the changes German football had to offer.
Leeds should most certainly be looking to pounce on Everton’s uncertainty surrounding Ademola Lookman as the 20-year-old has the making of a great player and one that could be a future England star.
The Lilywhites may not be quite the same as German giants RB Leipzig but the opportunity of regular football with an exciting team and a top manager could be more attractive than a season with the Everton U23’s.
