Leeds United have hit a bit of a rocky patch recently, following their tremendous start to the season. Having only won one game in their last five, and most recently losing 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers in yesterdays match-up, a few subtle questions are being asked of Marcelo Bielsa’s tactics.
The choice to start Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas in the full-back position yesterday is the most recent Bielsa move that has fans scratching their head. Especially considering that he was played on his weaker side. A point could certainly be made that Bielsa should have better recognised the strength of his own players when devising yesterdays match plan.
Bielsa making no bones about the fact that he thinks Leeds are in a "bad moment" after that result. Admitted he made a mistake by starting with Dallas at right back and Berardi at left-back. Said they should have been the opposite way round. #lufc

Unusual strategic decisions are sometimes made by managers; when they work, they look great; when they don’t, they look a bit silly. It seems on this occasion, unfortunately, Bielsa’s gamble failed to pay off.
Here are some fans opinions on the matter…
Dallas no good in either of those positions

How does he make a rookie mistake like this?

Or no Dallas at all!

Starting Dallas was a mistake full stop

Dallas isn’t good enough for this team unfortunately. We need a couple of upgrades in January if we want to push for the play offs.

Bielsa could see the likes of O'Kane,Ekuban and Sacko were not up to scratch.
So how he has missed it about Dallas is beyond me,for a supposed top coach?
