While the results have dried up a tad for the Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern, there’s still a very good feeling amongst them as they dare to dream of a Premier League return.
With Thomas Christiansen impressing in the dugout at Elland Road, the Whites propping up our bar are absolutely convinced their side can finally make it back to the proverbial Promised Land at long last.
Indeed, following confirmation from Oxford United on their official website, it seems like help could indeed be on the way in that regard.
The U’s have confirmed that Head Scout Craig Dean has departed the Kassam Stadium and moved up to Yorkshire in order to take up a new role with Leeds United. Exactly what his job with the Championship giants will be isn’t revealed in their report, though Dean certainly has enjoyed some success in landing hidden gems, having brought Kemar Roofe and Marvin Johnson to the club.
If Leeds are going to continue their upward trajectory, they need someone to help them buy good players at cheap prices. While it’ll undoubtedly be step up, Dean has proven himself as much as he can at Oxford.
