Leeds United have been in sublime form so far this season as they continue to defy expectations under Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites are in a great position to really kick on and enjoy promotion back to where they belong in the Premier League, after a woeful campaign under Paul Heckingbottom last time out.
Indeed, the Yorkshire club have been completely redefined under Marcelo Bielsa and could really start to build a lead at the top, with a few minor improvements perhaps needed to iron out any weaknesses.
So, the January transfer window could prove vital come the end of the season, with a couple of quality signings possibly ensuring promotion to the top-flight of English football.
With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO January signings that would take Leeds United to the next level…
Since Leeds play in a system which is based on playing out from the back, West Ham’s Oxford could be a fantastic addition. The 19-year-old is a versatile young player who can play at centre-back or in central midfield, which means he can be a utility player for the Whites.
The Championship club could do with another hard worker in the side and another player to provide central defensive cover, with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson already suffering injuries this season.
Ollie Watkins has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in English football and will no doubt attract interest from a number of clubs at a higher level in the future.
The 22-year-old has been one of the rising stars in the Championship and has already shown his prolific touch this season, scoring four goals and assisting two for his teammates as a well-rounded attacker.
Leeds United could do with bringing a versatile attacker that has the ability to work anywhere across the front three, as goals could dry up during the second half of the season.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
