Leeds United are in a very commanding position in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League, having defied expectations under Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites could take another step towards securing promotion to the Premier League if Andrea Radrizzani funds a couple of transfer deals in January.
Indeed, Bielsa has incorporated a lot of the club’s youngsters into his plans this season, but there’re still a number of players that have missed out. So, with the January transfer window on the horizon, it would make sense for the struggling pack to weigh up their options.
With that being said, these TWO Leeds youngsters should consider their Elland Road futures…
Tom Pearce has been a spectator for large parts of the current campaign after enjoying his breakthrough towards the end of the season under Paul Heckingbottom.
The youngster was linked with a permanent move away from Elland Road back in the summer transfer window, but Pearce ended up signing a new deal at the club.
However, with four first-team appearances to his name in all competitions at this moment in time, he should put all of his focus into his own future by seeking a move away as he really doesn’t have time to waste.
Aapo Halme looked very promising after being asked to step in for Liam Cooper at Bramall Lane not so long ago, but Bielsa has preferred Kalvin Phillips at the heart of the defence in recent times.
And, the South American will inevitably look at bringing in another central defender, with Gaetano Berardi and Liam Cooper still yet to return from injury.
So, Halme may have to settle for a loan move away as he could really progress and come on leaps and bounds in League One or even at another Championship club.
