Potential consequences of Leeds signing Yannick Bolasie

Leeds United will travel to St Andrew’s to face Birmingham City in their next Championship encounter, which could prove to be a very tough fixture with the Blues fighting for relegation.

The Whites are still in with a chance of securing the title if they continue to grind out positive results from here on in until the end of the season, but all fans care about is promotion.

Interestingly, it appears as if Leeds may already be planning for the Premier League, as according to TEAMtalk, Yannick Bolasie is emerging as an option for Leeds – should they secure promotion.

So with the experienced winger possibly rocking up at Elland Road in the summer, here are the potential consequences…

MARCELO BIELSA SECURES JACK HARRISON REPLACEMENT

Jack Harrison joined Leeds on loan from Manchester City back in the summer transfer window.

He’s impressed this season but he’s not really done enough to warrant a permanent move at the end of the season, with just three goals and three assists to his name.

Therefore, with Harrison set to return to the Etihad at the end of the current campaign, perhaps Bolasie will be Leeds’ permanent replacement for the Englishman.

JACK CLARKE DEPARTS

Jack Clarke has had to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench in recent times as Marcelo Bielsa has made very little changes to his side unless he has to in the Championship.

The youngster will inevitably attract interest from a number of clubs in the summer after enjoying his breakthrough season at Elland Road. And, his lack of starts since returning from injury certainly won’t be attracting him to stay.

So, Bolasie making the move to Elland Road could force the youngster into departing as it would make it even harder for him to secure regular minutes, especially in the top-flight.

Leeds United fans, do you think Bolasie would be a good signing if you secure promotion? Join the discussion by commenting down below!
