The Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern really are starting to dream.
Top of the Championship, our resident Whites can’t believe just how well Thomas Christiansen has taken to life managing the Elland Road giants and they’re hugely confident of a win against Cardiff City, who are just behind them in the table, tomorrow night.
Indeed, such optimism has only been added to following reports emanating out of Germany. According to Bild, cult-hero striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga is aiming to play against the Bluebirds, after travelling back to his homeland over the course of the weekend.
The German, who joined on loan from Hamburg this summer, played and scored against Ipswich before going back home for the birth of his daughter. However, the 25-year-old is reportedly aiming to be in contention for the top of the table clash in Wales tomorrow evening, much to the delight of the Yorkshiremen in our bar.
With Leeds only leading the way on goal difference, having Lasogga back in contention would be an absolutely huge boost for tomorrow. Even if he has to come off the bench, he could prove to be an ace in the pack.
