Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed to hear that the transfer rumours surrounding the club have cooled slightly – however, they will be pleased that the club are still looking at bringing a few names in.
The Whites appointed Marcelo Bielsa last week and the locals will be hoping he can use his name as a means of bringing a number of talented players to Elland Road, but movements seem to have been quiet over the past few days.
One of the locals took to Twitter to ask Phil Hay, who is the chief football writer for The Yorkshire Evening Post, about the current situation, and it appears they got an answer that would delight many of them in the Tavern.
Hernandez/Vydra/Gunn still very much options. Wages Leeds are prepared to pay Stockdale fall below what he’d be looking for. Bartley really hasn’t moved forward.

According to the reliable journalist, the likes of Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez and Angus Gunn all remain as viable options as Bielsa is thought to be keen on adding a shot-stopper and firepower to his squad, in news which is sure to thrill our resident Whites supporters given it is less than two months before the 2018/19 Championship season gets underway.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be delighted that the club are still keeping their options open on some of their rumoured targets, and will be hoping they can make some positive progress in seeing them arrive at Elland Road in the near future.
But whether any of Hernandez, Vydra, or Gunn do indeed make the move to the Yorkshire giants very much remains to be seen.
