Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be encouraged by the news that they could seal a deal in the near future for a proven player.
The Whites are desperate to add a number of players to their side to build on last year’s disappointment, in their bid to try and challenge for a spot in the Premier League.
The Elland Road outfit are expected to be fairly busy this summer, especially after their deal with the San Fransisco 49ers, and could be in a position to announce a key target soon.
And that’s because, according to Phil Hay on Twitter, who is a reputable journalist for The Yorkshire Evening Post, has delivered a crucial update in their quest to land Abel Hernandez, with Hay believing that has a decision to make about joining Leeds as the ‘ball is in his court’.
ball’s in his court really. Leeds have made their proposals to him. His decision now whether he wants to come. There are other options but he’s first choice.

He also revealed if the Uruguayan decided against the move to the Whites, they have other options that they would pursue, although stated that he was their first choice.
Thus, this update is likely to intrigue our resident Leeds fans, who will be sincerely hoping that their team can get a deal done for the talented attacker this summer.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Leeds fans will be delighted that they have offered the 27-year-old a contract, having proved he knows how to find the back of the net in the Championship.
Hernandez had a troubled campaign this year riddled with injury, yet he still managed eight goals in ten matches, and such would certainly offer the Yorkshire outfit a lethal touch at the top of the field.
