Report reveals the kind of news Leeds fans must be dreading

While the Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern were gutted to see their beloved side fall just short of the Play-Offs, few doubt it was a wonderful season under Garry Monk.

Finally, the Whites look to be a happy football club and the former Swansea City coach has proved to be the most popular dugout figure the club have had in years. So, as you can imagine, the punters propping up the bar are excited about next season.

With that in mind, reports from the Sun have gone down awfully today. They claim Middlesbrough are keen on talking to Monk about the notion of moving to Teeside as they plot a quick-fire return to the Premier League.

Interim boss Steve Agnew is not thought to have impressed top brass at the Riverside and popular chairman Steve Gibson is believed to be keen on the idea of discussing matters with Monk.

After such a wonderful season at Elland Road, this really isn’t what Leeds fans will want to hear.
